My brother saw Sicko and is forcing me and Fedora to watch it. My brother's reaction to it surprised me because he's not one for socialized medicine (unlike me, what with me being a big communist) and he doesn't care for Michael Moore (like me, what with the emotional satisfaction of dirty fighting being not worth losing your moral high ground). But yeah, Alejandro liked it, and I thought it was pretty good too. But then again, big communist like me and all. And some of the points he made were more conceptual than practical which, most of my issues with privatized health care are conceptual, on-principle type problems.

I was anticipating this summer like crazy, and it has been wonderful so far. I'm actually getting stuff done now, instead of just running back and forth between work and school. I organized all my BPAL last night. I can has an imp box, which I made, because now I have the time:

Fall under the spell of our Green Fairy! An intoxicating blend containing wormwood essence, light mints, cardamom, anise, hyssop, and the barest hint of lemon.

Kumiho, Diabolus
Nine-tailed fox demon of Korean lore who transforms into the visage of an irresistible beauty in order to seduce men and lead them to their doom. A sharp, biting blend of crisp white tea and ginger.

Delphi, Wanderlust
The smoke of Sacred Incense of Apollo twined through laurel branches, bay, and honey wine.

Machu Picchu, Wanderlust
Sweet tropical fruits burst through deep, wet rainforest boughs, enormous steamy blossoms, over thin mountaintop breezes, mingled with the soft, rich golden scent of Peruvian amber.

Cairo, Wanderlust
The essence of holy Kyphi, beloved incense of the Egyptian Gods.

Skuld, The Norns
Ylang ylang, honey, Egyptian and Arabian musks and labdanum.

Debauchery, Love Potions
A sinful, licentious scent: self-indulgent and luxurious. Mingled heady civet and red Egyptian musk, thickened with opium.

Harlot, Love Potions
Based on a Romany incense blend reputed to induce sexual dreams: Somalian rose, Moroccan rose and Bulgar rose with a sultry dribble of cinnamon.

Laudanum, Sin & Salvation
The essence of the most debauched hunger encapsulated into a perfume. Desire beyond love, anguish beyond sanity. Nutmeg, sassafras, black poppy and myrrh.

Roadhouse, Sin & Salvation
Truck stop sleaze. Weedy dandelion and hops with a whiff of tobacco and hemp and a swirl of booziness. (For the record, I actually like Roadhouse, but it's not a scent I need more than one imp of and I have two.)

All of them have been tested once, and seen no other use. (With the exeption of Roadhouse, which is unopened.)

I'm going to wait a couple weeks before posting these to bpal_swaps because I just spent an hour and a half sorting through 27 dollars in nickels and dimes so that I would be able to afford to get my damn passport. And flist gets first dibs anyways. Also, if you are on my flist I can trade for more than imps. Like if you live in lonely, desolate Canadia where BPAL won't ship, and are already making me a badass shirt and such. :)
