Lughansadh

We went to the beach. It was very very very very very nice to be in the water again. It's been at least a year since I spent any real time boogie boarding, and damn but did I let my mad skillz rot. I mean I could barely catch a wave when I first went out. Gradually I regained some of my abilities, but still, I'm not where I used to be. Shame on me. Meanwhile, there was a school (literally, enough fish to be a school) of dead fish washed up on the beach. Their gills were stretched open and they floated belly up, making them very easy to spot, as their bellies were bright white. It was disturbing. There was a mass of pelicans and seagulls out on the waves; I assume they were eating the fish. The beauty of these pretty fish, (even belyl up and dead) and the knowledge that it is Lughnasadh and first harvest comforted me some. I was still worried it was our fault, being idiot humans and dumping anything and everything into the ocean. But then, I was out fairly deep and I saw the dolphins. They were literally right in front of me, near the pelicans. I could hear them talking to eachother with those little clicks and squeaks. They seemed so huge. It made me happy. (I didn't forget about the dead fish, but I was reminded of balance. Yey!) I spent the next three hours in the water, meandering and floating and catching waves. once I caught a damn near perfect one, and went nearly all teh way in. As i was coming in, suddleny there is a huge white and purple jelly fish like, right by my head. And I mean huge. Like the size of my torso, OMG. Yeah, ran back out to deep water and sharply to the North of it.
You'll notice my mood is "hot." I can't tell if I"m sunburned or it it's just from all this hot pr0n.
Now I'm hungry. *goes to forage for food*
