My kid sister has taken up knitting recently, my aunt got her started about a month ago and she's stuck with it so far. I was wondering if you could suggest any books or kits of some sort, I think it'd be a pretty good holiday gift if she keeps going.
It's a wonderful present! How old is she again? My sister's age, right? Scarf Style (http://www.amazon.com/Scarf-Style-Innovative-Traditional-Inspirational/dp/1931499543/sr=8-2/qid=1164267156/ref=pd_bbs_2/002-2289199-8503241?ie=UTF8&s=books) and Wrap Style (http://www.amazon.com/Wrap-Style-Innovative-Traditional-Inspirational/dp/1931499918/sr=8-1/qid=1164267156/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-2289199-8503241?ie=UTF8&s=books) are both excellent books with a variety of projects for a variety of levels. Also, Stitch n' Bitch (http://www.amazon.com/Stitch-N-Bitch-Knitters-Handbook/dp/0761128182/sr=8-1/qid=1164267180/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-2289199-8503241?ie=UTF8&s=books). Then there's magazine subscriptions like Knit.1 (http://www.knit1mag.com/) KnitScene (http://www.knitscene.com/).
