So my ASL professor is taking a sick day tomorrow. Fingerspelling is my first class, so that means I get to sleep in later. Does that mean I'm going to be less tired than usual tomorrow? Of course not. It means I get to stay up later than usual and make this banner/header thingy:



Just because when I saw those pictures, I was like 'BreakLoose!Jensen, OMG!' The "kissing me" part is a poem by Rabia of Basra, as translated by Daniel Landinsky.

ETA: A matching Jared banner! (which I like less and less the more I look at it... :[ )


This time the text is from a Hafiz poem called 'It Happens All the Time in Heaven.' (Sufis have all the best love poetry, ya know.) ETA: Again, as translated by Daniel Landinsky.

Yay you like it yay! I have made a matching Jared one (see above), though I think I like the colors in the Jensen one better. Also, decent hires pictures of all-grown-up!Jared are harder to come by than I thought.

By all means, put it in your rotation,I would love to see it up there! I just checked your header and omg, it's the perfect width! I swear I didn't check before I made it. Clearly, this was Meant To Be. ^-^

I do like the brightness in the Jensen one, particularly, but I love both. The Jared is lovely too!

The fonts are especially gorgeous and I love the texts you've chosen. They say a lot about what you love in the story, and that's always good to know. :)

I would love to have matching icons to use if you do them? No pressure, but if you want to, I've been looking for good icons for BLR for awhile now and these banners are so gorgeous, I'd love to have something based on them.

Since I changed my layout a couple weeks ago and gained the ability to use header images, I've of course been toying around with Photoshop and various ideas. After asking around a bit, a friend of mine gave me this link to an incredibly simple tutorial on how to randomize the image for a selected area. I just started it up and tested it out, and so far it works wonderfully. I figured I'd share the link because you mentioned in your last post that you were looking to change your layout a bit, and I think this simple tweak can be a lot of fun.

These are absolutely gorgeous Banners and they feel so much like her fics. I see you're not liking the Jared banner as much, but I absolutely love it. I am generally more of a Jensen girl, though BLR Jared just slays me. And I think the picture and words you've chosen reflect that totally. I also really like how the light is on him.
