Matthew Gray Gubler said the word "theater" with a long a, causing 98% of my previously intense attraction to him to fuck off out the window.* Truly, I now have no reason to continue watching this show.

But I probably will. I think they put cocaine in it or something.

*SRSLY U GUISE. SHORT A. I hear this probably much more than those of you who don't work in a thee-UH-ter, and every time I hear it I WANT TO KILL MYSELF. I don't care what Merriam Webster has to say on the subject, no one should EVER pronounce theater with a long a. ESPECIALLY NOT YOU, MGG. You are a very attractive young man from Nevada, not a 65-year-old woman from Arkansas.

.....

People actually say it like that? Jeeze, this is what happens when I do not watch tv.

Yup, get it all the time. I suspected it came with a Southern accent, and Merriam Webster confirmed this.

You mean I can't go to the thee-AY-dur tonight?

*G*

In French it's theatre=tay-ah-truh, so the long a sound still manages to get in there somehow.

I only hate it as the second syllable. If the French want to throw it in as the first one, that's fine, but when you try to make it the second one it creates this ghost of a Y in there: "thee YAY ter." I usually hear this when old people are complaining, so there is no cause for YAY.

Random: This (http://oglaf.com/ulric.html) reminded me of you. Seems like your sort of humor.

Also, I have a Christmas present for you, but I will not be available for hanging out for some time now. I'm one of the only people among my coworkers with any real availability to work right now, so I pretty much live at the theater.

Haha yes, Oglaf is always great, and that one is particularly genius.

What are your usual hours at the theater? I may have to ninja in at some point.

I'm usually working tuesday and Thursday from 9 - 5ish. But I have school immediately after on both of those days, so if you came toward the end of the day, it'd be a very short visit.

Hey did you see my post about Lucent L'amour (http://lucentlamour.com/)? I do have Saturday off, and Beats Antique will be there.

I did indeed see it, and it definitely does interest me, but I don't currently have the funds for the excursion, unfortunately.

Hahaha, the reason why I've never been particularly attracted to his character is because of his distinct speech patterns. Trufax!
