Miles' Birthday

I just came back from the hospital. Flora Pecosa and Hector (Calodaemon) were holding Miles when we got there. (Miles was due in about 5 weeks, just so you know.) I was afraid the hospital was going to just rush him off after he was born. Plumeria and I both got to hold him and so did MamaGoddess and Pop. Gods, he's so pretty. He has dark skin and hair (both very soft), like Hector, and the general consensus is that it would have been curly hair as well. He also has Hector's nose, but he looks quite a lot like Flora Pecosa around the jaw and chin and mouth. Plumie and I think he would have had her eyes too. He's so, so, so tiny. I'm really, really glad I got to go and see him and hold him. I feel more like his aunt now. Hector... I'm really glad my sister has him. I can't even describe the way he was looking at Miles. Flora Pecosa is doing really well all things considered. She said that she felt like she had done something wrong, or let everyone down, but that once she held him and saw him, she started thinking she had done something right. I agree. Miles is just beautiful. And even if I have another nephew someday, I'll think of him as my second.
